I have used this product successfully as a standalone duplicator, which it does as advertised. I have calculated the following times for the various processes that the dischub does.
Approximately 1 hour to load 100 discs into the unit and about 12 minutes to unload 100 discs after completion.
The owner of the company is contesting these numbers claiming that I am not doing something right.
Here is the process that I am using:
As I load each blank disc I name it 001, 002, 003, etc. for each disc in the media tracker software. Then I use the swiftdisc software to set up the data to be burned and hit go. After all 100 discs are finished I eject the discs and delete all these disc identifiers and start loading discs in again using the same process.
Thus far I haven't been able to skip the naming disc process or reuse the identifiers the next time I load up blank discs into the unit.
Please confirm that I using the proper process or instruct me in the most efficient way to use the DiscHub as a duplicator.
Hi,
Greetings from Digistore Solutions.
To check in several discs at once, each as a new unscanned volume, consider using the batch check in new media function. When this function is enabled, each disc inserted into an organizer will automatically be checked in using a new automatically-created unscanned volume.
To enable batch check in new media, select Batch Check In New Media from the Media media. In the resulting progress dialog box, click Set Name... to choose which name to use; check Append sequence number to name to include an auto-incrementing sequence number on the end of the name (e.g., "Disc 001", "Disc 002", and so on). After setting the name to use, insert a disc into the organizer. An unscanned volume will automatically be created in the MediaTRACKER library for the disc and the organizer will rotate to its next available slot. Repeat the process for all media to be checked in.
After checking in all desired media, click the Done button to end the batch check in new media function.
Whenever you want to insert a new batch of disc, you can select all the 100 disc in your library (assuming they are all checked out), click delete and your 100 disc will be removed. Go through the Batch insert process again to insert a new batch of disc.
Please remember to register your product at http://www.centurion-dischub.com if you have not yet do so.
We hope this helps.
