Hi
I (and I assume many others) have 1000s of CDs - I would like to burn them to a hard disk and was wondering whether your products could be used to do this ?
e.g. I'd like to plug the disc hub into my PC USB port and get the PC to read and burn all of the discs in the carousel to my hard drive
Can your product do this ? Or are you planning on releasing a product that can do this ?
Regards
Tony
Hello Tony,
Greetings from Digistore Solutions.
The coming StorageQuest Centurion DiscHub Manager version 2 - SQCDHM may be the answer to your request. As you might not have know, the SQCDHM is capable of scanning and capturing the disc contents into its library. Therefore, all you need to do is to first create a folder within the virtual drive X:\ upon successful installed the SQCDHM. Following, you may perform a bulk insert of pre-created disc into the Centurion DiscHub.
Once that is completed, you will be able to add those inserted disc into the pre-create folder, which will then allows the SQCDHM application to scan and capture all contents within your inserted discs. As the process goes, you will be able to see more and more sub-folders being created for every disc that had been scanned and captured. Once the process complete, you will be able see sub-folders containing the contents for every scanned disc, within the virtual drive X:\
I hope this will enables you to have a broader view of how the SQCDHM application is able to serve you.
Best regards,

Hi Thanks for Reply
I wondered if you had any update regarding your developers looking into producing such a product by modifying an exsiting one

Hi tmulchro,
Greetings from Digistore Solutions.
Currently, there isn't a product is our standard DiscHub editions that is able to cater for your suggestions. However, there is the Centurion DiscHub Workgroup Edition which you might want to look at. For more information, you can check out http://www.centurion-cd.com/products/centurion-dischub-workgroup.
Basically, the Workgroup Edition allows the contents of the disc in the DiscHub to be inventorised and recognised as a virtual Hard Disc to your system or network. This will allow you to transfer your data as if you are transfering from one Hard Disc to another Hard Disc.
As for your suggestions, I have forwarded it to our developers for their review. I would say that you have a good idea which we can look into.
I hope this helps.
Thank you for your interest.
