MediaTracker backup

I made a backup of my Media Tracker database.

I had a hard drive crash.

I reloaded winxp. Installed MediaTracker and restored my database.

Now my cd's are mixed up.

After I made my backup, I had checked out cd's, added cd's and checked cd's in. Of course the backup does not reflect these changes.

I have access to the media tracker data files on the hard drive that crashed. Is there a way to get the correct database from there?

Hello Rob

Greetings from Digistore Solutions.

I would recommand that you first delete away the existing database you had restore to your MediaTRACKER. You may go under the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Digistore Solutions delete away the "Digistore Solutions" folder.

With the MediaTRACKER database emptied, you can easily remove all discs within your carousel/s by using "Eject Empty Slots" found under the View - Connected Organizers... Once that complete, you may perform restoring of your previous backup database, which when completed the MediaTRACKER Library database will reflect all disc assets being "Checked Out".

Now you are ready to reinsert back your physical disc assets to associate with the MediaTRACKER Library database.
